NFSA in State: CM orders action against erring officials

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister on Wednesday asked Collectors to take departmental and legal action against government officials and panchayati raj members involved in getting illegitimate beneficiaries enlisted in rolls of the National Food Security Act (NFSA).

In a review meeting of the NFSA implementation in the State through videoconferencing here, the chief
minster asked the collectors to include eligible people in the NFSA rolls and drop illegitimate beneficiaries from the list.

After the meeting, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sanjay Das Burma said, “The chief minister reviewed the progress of the NFSA implementation in 30 districts and gave the directives to the officials.”
