HC likely to hear anticipatory bail plea of BJD MLA today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha High Court is likely to hear the anticipatory bail plea of BJD MLA from Banki Pravat Tripathy today.

Sources said Tripathy had approached the HC seeking the anticipatory bail on September 15.

Notably, on September 16, the former chief whip of BJD was interrogated by CBI for six hours on his alleged links with Artha Tatwa Group (AT).

In August, the central probe agency had raided the houses of the Banki MLA and seized some documents.

Meanwhile, the Special CJM CBI court will hear a bail petition filed by former Advocate General Ashok Mohanty today, who was arrested by the agency’s sleuths on September 22 for alleged complicity in AT Group case.
