Bhubaneswar: The upward trend of the COVID19 recovery numbers continued on Monday as 2738 more patients recuperated from the dreaded disease.

With this, the total count of recoveries climbed to 249575.

As per the information provided by the Odisha Health Department, the maximum, 399 recovered from Khordha, 189 from Cuttack, 174 from Angul, 154 from Sundergarh, 114 from Balasore, 110 from Mayurbhanj, 109 from Puri, 107 from Sambalpur, 101 from Kalahandi, 100 from Bargarh and 95 patients each from Jajpur and Kendrapara.

Similarly, 89 patients recuperated from Jagatsinghpur, 88 from Jharsuguda, 86 from Bolangir, 85 from Koraput, 69 from Malkangiri, 65 from Keonjhar, 63 each from Nabarangpur and Sonepur, 59 from Bhadrak.

Earlier in the day, Odisha reported its another lowest single-day spike of 1982 new cases which pushed the total caseload to 270346.

At least 17 persons succumbed to the disease while undergoing treatment at various hospitals. With this, the death toll due to Covid-19 rose to 1152, informed the Health and Family Welfare Department.
