Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who have shared 18 years of marriage, continue to be regarded as one of Bollywood’s most admired couples. Yet, every now and then, rumours about their separation surface, fuelling endless chatter across social media platforms and entertainment portals.

Despite such recurring speculation, the duo has refrained from giving any direct response, allowing their united appearances at family gatherings to quietly dismiss the gossip. However, recently, neighbour of Aish's mother shed light on the ongoing buzz regarding her frequent visits to her mother’s home and also explained why Abhishek chooses to remain silent.

Neighbour’s Clarification on the Speculation

In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, ad-director and Aishwarya’s neighbour Prahlad Kakar shed light on the ongoing buzz. He clarified that Aishwarya’s frequent presence at her mother’s home was linked to her mother’s health and her daily routine with her daughter, not to marital discord.

A Routine of Care and Responsibility

Kakar explained that Aishwarya usually drops her daughter to school, visits her mother during the day, and later returns to pick her child up. He emphasised her deep bond with her mother, dismissing suggestions that she had moved out of the Bachchan household.

No Strain With the Bachchan Family

Addressing claims of strained ties of Aishwarya with her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and sister-in-law Shweta Bachchan Nanda, Kakar called them baseless. “So what? She is the bahu of the house and she still runs the house. I knew there was no truth in it. Because I knew why she was there. People were saying she was escaping from her marriage and living with her mother. She wasn’t living with her mother. She was just coming and spending time with her while her daughter was at school. And she didn’t come on Sundays.”

Abhishek’s Presence Speaks Volumes

Kakar also revealed that Abhishek often accompanied Aishwarya to her mother’s place, further disproving the rumours. He said, “I knew her concerns for her mother. Sometimes, Abhishek also came with her to visit her mother. Why would he come if there was anything like this? If you notice, neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have given a comment on this. Why should they? Tum Bhaukte raho. She has always kept her dignity and journalists hated her for that.”
