In total, 410 teams have been formed for the operation. Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das has appealed to city residents to extend their cooperation and support to the enumerators engaged in this important task.
“The BMC will begin the census of stray dogs from tomorrow. As per the discussion, two teams of sanitation workers have been formed including ‘Swachha Sathi’ and supervisors. The census will be conducted in two phases. After the completion of the first census, the second census will be done to re-verify. With this, we can get the exact number of stray dogs in the city,” said Sulochana Das, Bhubaneswar Mayor.
