Two Gangsters linked to firing at Disha Patani’s house killed by STF in Ghaziabad

Investigators pieced together CCTV footage, intelligence reports, and crime records from neighbouring states to trace the shooters. During the encounter, both accused sustained critical injuries and later died in hospital.

In a major breakthrough, the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) gunned down two gangsters involved in the recent firing outside actor Disha Patani’s residence in Bareilly. The encounter took place on Tuesday in Tronica City, Ghaziabad, following a joint operation with the Delhi Crime Branch.

Who Were the Accused?

According to sources, the deceased were identified as Ravindra alias Kallu, a resident of Rohtak, and Arun, from Sonipat, in Haryana. According to officials, the duo were active members of the notorious Rohit Godara–Goldy Brar gang and carried a long criminal record. Ravindra, in particular, was linked to several violent crimes across states.

The Incident and Police Response

The firing outside Patani’s house occurred at around 3:45 am on September 12, triggering panic in the locality. A case was swiftly registered at Kotwali Police Station, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed police to ensure a quick resolution under the state’s zero-tolerance stance on crime.

Arms Recovered

Police recovered a Glock pistol, a Zigana pistol, and multiple live cartridges from the site.

The encounter marks a significant blow to the Godara–Brar gang’s network. Officials confirmed that investigations are ongoing to identify others involved in orchestrating the attack.
