Iconic singer Akshaya Mohanty’s wife, Prabina passes away at 74

Cuttack: The wife of legendary musician and singer of Odisha Akshaya Mohanty, Prabina Mohanty passed away in Cuttack on Friday night. She was 74.

As per reports, Prabina had gone to attend a marriage function yesterday night when she complained of severe chest pain. Later, she passed away while being shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Meanwhile, Prabina’s body has been kept at her residence at Sheikh Bazaar in Cuttack for last darshan.

“She was suffering from heart-related ailments since long time and had undergone heart surgery. Yesterday, she suddenly suffered cardiac arrest and left us alone,” said son, Chitrabhanu Mohanty.
