Cuttack: Acting on a petition on the security of Puri Sri Jagannath Temple, the High Court today directed the Odisha Government to submit the report of Justice PK Mohanty Commission which investigated the 2006 Rath Yatra stampade case.

A two judges bench headed by chief justice Adarsh Kumar Goyal asked the Puri temple and district administration to respond while hearing the plea filed by one Chhitaranjan Mohanty who alleged that no measures have taken for the safety of 12th century shrine even after the report of terrorist planning to attack was published in national media recently.

Mohanty requested the court to direct the government for necessary action in this regard.

Notably, the PK Mohanty commission had submitted the probe report to government in 2009 suggesting some remedial measures to avoid such incident in future.
