NINL bags Ispat Suraksha Award

Bhubaneswar: The Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL) in Odisha has bagged the prestigious Ispat Suraksha Puraskar-2017 in the "No fatal accident for Integrated Steel Plant" category for the third time in a row.

The Joint Committee on Safety, Health & Environment in the Steel Industry (JCSSI) gave the award to NINL since no fatal accident occurred in the plant in 2016.

NINL is based at Kalinganagar Industrial Complex.

R K Jha, Executive Director (Works) and M M Panda, Head (Safety), received the award in a glittering ceremony held at Ranchi recently, a company release said today.

JCSSI is a national level apex bipartite forum of management & trade union representatives from public and private sector steel companies.

The apex body conducts "Ispat Suraksa Award" based on the safety performances of organizations, the release said.
