Darshan at Puri Srimandir to be restricted for 4 hours today

Puri: Darshan of the Trinity at Puri Srimandir will be restricted for four hours from 3.30 PM to 7.30 PM today in view of ‘Banak Lagi' rituals.

After completion of the second Bhog Mandap rituals, Datta Mohapatra servitors will enter into the sanctum sanctorum to perform ‘Banak Lagi’ of the deities. General darshan of the deities will remain closed from 3.30 pm till 7.30 pm, said an official of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA).

Earlier on April 9, entry of devotees into the 12th Century shrine was prohibited due to ‘Paita Lagi’ rituals.
