Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Odisha unit today has given 'Challo Bhubaneswar' call for its grand rally to be held on November 25 where party's national president Amit Shah is scheduled to sound the poll bugle ahead of panchayat elections by addressing the party activists and public gathering.

The saffron party prepared a blueprint today in a meeting of the party office bearers to make the rally a success. The meeting was attended by union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, State in-charge Arun Singh and Odisha BJP chief Basant Panda and senior leaders like KV Singhdeo, Giridhar Gamang and Biswabhushan Harichandan.

It was decided that leaflets mentioning State government failure will be put on walls in panchayat levels to aware the public.

"The leaflet will feature how people are deprived of their basic rights. BJP members have been asked to bring people from their respective booths to the rally venue and make it a success", BJP State president Basant Panda said.

The leaders have not shied away from criticising the State government on various fronts in the meeting today. Raising the names of ministers like Arun Sahoo, Sanjay Dasburma, Bijaysree Routray, the saffron leaders alleged that 12 BJD leaders are involved in the chit-fund scam.

"Chief Minister always says that law will take its own course. But, on the other hand, half a dozen of his ministers have been trapped in chit-fund cases", Dharmendra Pradhan said.

BJD is only shedding crocodile tears on Mahanadi issue, they alleged. Taking all these issues, the BJP will reach people soon before the panchayat elections, party leaders said while addressing the meeting.

On the other hand, BJD saw the November 25 rally as a mere political event. "It would be a pure political programme. There has been a direct contact between people and CM Naveen Patnaik. So, there is no scope of anybody misleading people", BJD spokesperson Amar Satpathy said.
