Puri: The Puri Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has announced the finalised timings of the rituals to be performed during the Bahuda Yatra - the event marking the return of the Holy Trinity to Srimandir after completing their 9-day annual sojourn at Gundicha Temple.

The Bahuda Yatra of Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, and Devi Subhadra, often called as return Car Festival will be held tomorrow amid strict restrictions in place in the wake of COVID pandemic just like during the Gundicha Yatra.

The temple administration has made all necessary arrangements for the event after ‘Dakshina Moda’ ritual of the three chariots of the divine siblings on Sunday.

Puri administration will enforce curfew across the district from 10 PM today till 10 PM of July 2 to prevent public movement and gathering during the occasion.

After the Bahuda Yatra on July 1, Suna Besa of the Lords will be celebrated on July 2 followed by Adhara Pana and finally, the annual festival will culminate with Niladri Bije the day after when the deities will be ushered into the Srimandir on July 4.

District Collector has urged people to follow COVID guidelines and curfew orders as there will be restrictions on non-essential movement of public during these four days.

Mangal Alati: 4 AM

Maelam: 4:15 AM

Tadap Lagi & Rosa Homa Ritual: 4:30 AM

Abakash: 5 AM

Surya Puja: 5:15 AM

Dwarapala Puja: 5: 30 AM

Gopal Ballav & Sakhala Dhupa: 5: 45 AM to 6: 45 AM

Senapata Lagi Ritual: 7 AM to 7:30 AM

Bahuda Pahandi: 8 AM to 10 AM

Chhera Panhara: 10:30 AM to 11: 30 AM

Charamala Ritual: 11 AM

Chariot Pulling: 12 Noon
