Balasore: A local court on Monday sentenced a woman to life imprisonment after finding her guilty of murdering her husband`s first wife in Balasore district in 2005.

After examining 10 witnesses and seven documents related to the murder, Sessions Judge of Balasore Susanta Kumar Patanaik awarded the punishment to Sukanti Behera (37).

According to the prosecution, Sukanti, the second wife of Krushna Behera of Gurudapatana village, had killed Basanti Behera (39) on September 17, 2005, following a family dispute.
