The well-marked low-pressure area has now weakened into a low pressure, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

As per the IMD, the low pressure now lies over southwest Jharkhand and adjoining Chhattisgarh with associated cyclonic circulation. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall activities in several parts of Odisha in the next couple of days.

Orange Warning: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Angul.

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bolangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hours of 3.10.2023 to 0830 hours of 4.10.203)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Jharsuguda, Sundagarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Jajpur.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hours 4.10.2023 to 0830 hours of 5.10.2023)

Yellow Warning: Heavy rainfall is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Sambalpur and Deogarh.
