A video of Uttarakhand cops driving police van inside the emergency ward of AIIMS Rishikesh to arrest a sexual harassment accused has gone viral on social media platforms. The unconventional move by the cops has sparked a debate online.

As per reports, a nursing officer had allegedly sent an explicit SMS to a female junior resident doctor and allegedly molested her. Things escalated sparking outrage in the hospital after the female junior doctor accused him of molesting her when they were on duty in the trauma surgery unit.

On being informed, police reached the hospital and drove directly into the emergency ward. The viral video shows a white-coloured jeep entering the emergency ward to catch the accused. The accused has been identified as Satish Kumar.

Fellow doctors outraged over the incident raised slogans outside the office of the Dean Academics, demanding action against the accused. A case was registered at Rishikesh Kotwali police station following protests by doctors, SHO Shankar Singh Bisht told PTI.

As soon as the video of the jeep entering the premier medical institute went viral, social media users were quick to give their response in the comments section.

“Is it real or some film shoot? If real, the police is in for trouble. 😳,” commented a user.

Another user commented, “Height of insensitivity. Police vehicle went through various sections of the AIIMS (Rishikesh) disrupting treatment of the patients. Police finally arrested the accused but their approach is nowhere acceptable.”

“This will instill fear, Well done! Accused must be P E L T E D - right there where he hides his  *privacy*,” commented another user.
