Groom brutally slaps bride in front of guests, video goes viral again

Petty fights are pretty common at weddings. However, have you ever seen a groom hitting his bride on the wedding stage in front of guests? A video of one such incident is currently going viral on social media.

Though old, the video has once again caught the attention of netizens. The clip is from Uzbekistan and the incident had reportedly taken place in 2022.

In the viral video clip, the bride and the groom can be seen standing on a brightly lit stage with their best man and maid of honour.

As per reports, the bride won an unspecified game played with the groom. But the groom seemed to have got angry over his defeat as he can be seen angrily striking her head with his fist.

The shocked bride stumbles onto her maid of honour from the force of the blow as the groom stares unflinchingly into the crowd. The bride can be seen lifting her white wedding dress from the floor and was led off the stage by two other women. It is unclear what happened after that.

Meanwhile, the best man standing alongside the groom also appeared shocked before fidgeting nervously with his phone as the groom remained on the stage as if nothing had happened.

In Uzbekistan, groom hit the bride right at the wedding in front if guests, relatives, families from both sides. Noone stopped him, noone to defend her.

Netizens expressed shock and outrage at the violent groom. Some even pointed out the lack of response or action from the bride’s family and wedding guests.

“Wtf… How can I even unsee this barbaric act,” wrote one user. Another wrote, “What the??? No one should be treated that way, especially in front of others, be it a man or a woman.” A third user wondered, “why did he hit her out of nowhere.”

“Violence against women and girls is often normalized & waved off as sad, but necessary/normal method of disciplining women in societies. This behavior is passed down from generation to generation, conditioning boys and girls, women and men that this is the normal & only way,” wrote a Twitterati.
