Human explosion, poaching, drastic climate change and habitat destruction are posing a serious threat to wildlife. Wildlife extinction is a major concern across the world. Several animal species have gone extinct while a few others are endangered. Several reports of animal deaths are being reported from across the world due to poaching and other reasons.

While there is nothing new about animals dying after being hit by vehicles, most people are unaware of the consequences of such deaths.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media that shows a cheetah calling out for its sibling distressfully. The leopard continues to make sounds while moving in all directions.

Indian Forest Services (IFS) official Susanta Nanda shared the video with a note reading: These distressed calls of one of the last Asiatic Cheetahs will leave you saddened.

Further, Nanda informed that the leopard has been searching for his brother every night since the last 6 days with his mom. The big cat’s sibling reportedly was killed in a road accident.

As informed by the IFS official, only 12 Asiatic critically endangered cheetahs are left in Iran which includes 9 males and 3 females.

The video has gone viral on social media with netizens expressing their concern for the cheetah. The comments section is flooded with sad face and crying face emoticons.

This video is a proof that animals and birds even have a family and when they go missing, their families get distressed.
