Receiving spam/fraud calls? Swindled by cyber fraudsters? What you should immediately do at home to block the transfers?

The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police is creating awareness to contain such cyber frauds.
Within an hour of being fleeced, you can file a complaint through the cyber helpline number without going to the Cyber Police Station. Quick action can be taken against the fraudsters.

One can immediately call to cyber helpline – 1930 of the Commissionerate Police.

Another way to block a fraud number is to file a complaint through the Chakshu App. It is a Digital Intelligence Platform (DIP) that allows citizens to report suspected fraud communications to prevent and mitigate telecom-related fraud and spam calls. The app is part of the Sanchar Saathi initiative.

You need not go to the Cyber Police Station, informed sources.

As per sources, at the time of elections, political leaders are also being given tips on how to stay away from AI and Deep Fake videos. They are advised not to visit the cyber police stations at the golden hours, but to file complaints via the Chakshu App.

The Commissionerate Police held a meeting with cyber experts, NDO activists and the HER team.

Anjana Tudu, ACP, Cyber Crime said, "If anyone is getting fraud calls either through WhatsApp or Instagram then log into the Chakshu portal and report that number, it will be blocked. That is available at Sanchar Saathi initiative.”

If you call to 1930, a major portion of the money will be held back, she added.
