Bihar shocker! Lady cops beat up elderly teacher for 'being slow'

In a shocking incident, an elderly man (a teacher) was brutally beaten up by two lady constables for falling down from his cycle and not picking up the cycle quickly. The inhumane video of the assault in broad daylight has gone viral on social media.

The video has left the internet in shock. Social media users are sharing the video widely and demanding immediate suspension of the two lady cops. The video is from Bhabhua, some 200km away from Patna in Bihar’s Kaimur district, reports said.

The elderly man has been identified as Naval Kishore Pandey, a 70-year-old teacher. He has been teaching students for the last 40 years.

According to reports, he was going home on a cycle after teaching his students. However, his cycle skidded at a busy street and he fell down. However, due to his fragile age, he was a bit slow to pick up the cycle that led to a traffic jam behind him.

Even as, he struggled to lift his cycle, people started to honk from behind. Instead of helping him, the lady cops who were at the spot begin to beat him up with their batons. They continue to beat him even as he pleads with them to let him go. Several blows land on his hands as he tries to shield himself.

The video has left the internet fuming as social media users demanded the immediate suspension of the two cops.

“Sack these cops! Inhumane and sick,” commented a user while another user wrote, “Suspend these two cops immediately. Feel sorry for the way the elderly man doing a noble job of teaching kids by riding a cycle to his work daily at his age was treated. Looks like even the public was impatient and was not eager to help the man pick up his cycle. SAD.”

“Misuse of power and position. Will they thrash any politician when they make traffic jam during their rallies. Shame on these cops,” commented another user.

Meanwhile, Bihar police has confirmed that action against the two constables has already been taken. The cops duo have reportedly been suspended.
