Two bird poachers fined

Erode: Two persons were fined Rs 6,000 for poaching birds in the Udhayamarathittu forest area along the Sathyamangalam-Mysore main road, Forest Department officials said. Two birds that come under Schedule IV of the Forest department classification were recovered alive from the poachers yesterday, they said. The birds were later set free in the forest.
