The colourful festival of Holi is being celebrated in different parts of India today. People eagerly wait for the festival to celebrate it with friends and family.

During this festive time, many people capture precious moments on their smartphones through videos and images.

However, exposure to water and colours during Holi celebrations can lead to smartphone malfunctions.

To address this, the smartphone industries are continuously improving devices and even introducing features like IP68 ratings.

These ratings, part of the Ingress Protection standard, indicate a device's resistance to water and dust.

For Holi, the crucial rating to consider is IP68 and ensuring that your phone can withstand water immersion up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. It also provides dust protection without requiring an additional case.

Here are some high-end smartphones in the mid-range to premium segment with IP68 ratings, making them capable of surviving Holi splashes.

Samsung Galaxy S24: Priced at Rs. 79,000 in India, this smartphone features IP68 dust and water resistance, allowing it to endure Holi festivities without damage.

Apple iPhone 16: With an IP68 rating, this smartphone is priced at Rs. 67,000 in India, making it resilient to water exposure during Holi celebrations.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G: This smartphone, priced at Rs. 32,000 in India, also boasts IP68 dust and water resistance, ensuring it remains functional during Holi festivities.

Vivo X100 5G: Priced at Rs. 63,000 in India, this smartphone is also IP68 rated, making it a reliable choice for Holi celebrations without worrying about water damage.

While IP68 ratings offer protection, water can still penetrate internal parts, causing issues.
