On Tuesday, during the Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm unveiled their latest creation, the Snapdragon 8 Gen chipset.

This flagship platform is crafted using cutting-edge 4nm technology and is primarily designed to excel in AI, gaming, audio quality, camera enhancements, and more.

The Qualcomm 8 Gen processor boasts a powerful Cortex-X4 prime core, capable of reaching speeds up to 3.3 GHz, along with five high-performance cores reaching up to 3.2 GHz, and 2 efficiency cores clocked at 2.3 GHz.

It supports LPDDR5x memory with speeds of up to 4800 MHz, offering up to 24 GB of RAM.

This chip is ready for the future with Wi-Fi 7 support up to 6 GHz, covering standards like 802.11be, 802.11ax, 802.11ac, and 802.11a/bg/n.

It is equipped with the X75 5G modem, supporting both sub-6 GHz and mmWave antennas, as reported by GSMArena.

According to Gadgets360, you can expect to see smartphones featuring this processor on the market in the coming week. The Snapdragon 8 Gen SoC will be available in various smartphone brands, including ASUS, Honor, iQOO, OnePlus, OPPO, realme, Redmi, Vivo, Xiaomi, and more.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC introduces an improved hexagon process that is claimed to be 98 percent faster and 40 percent more efficient.

Additionally, this new chip incorporates exciting camera features powered by AI. It includes the Video Object Eraser by Arcsoft, which can remove unwanted elements and people from videos.

The chip also offers new zoom capabilities, utilising Samsung's 200-megapixel image sensor optimised for Snapdragon, enabling multiple video capture, object tracking, and 2X and 4X zoom, as stated by Gadgets360.

The GPU within the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is 25% faster, 25% more power-efficient, and delivers a 40% improvement in Ray Tracing.
