Android devices have become an integral part of our lives, and as we become more reliant on them, it's important to know the various features and tricks that can make our lives easier. One such aspect is Android gestures, which can help users perform certain actions quicker and more efficiently.

Here, we'll explore three Android gestures that you may not have been aware of, but that can help you in your day-to-day usage of your device.

Deleting a Sentence:

Have you ever typed a message or email and realised that you made an error? Or perhaps you wrote something that you later regretted and wanted to delete it quickly? Well, with Android's gesture feature, you can do this with ease. Simply long-press the backspace key and slide your finger to select the sentence or paragraph that you want to remove.

Once you've selected it, lift your finger, and the text will be deleted. If you accidentally delete something and want to recover it, simply tap on the top menu in your keyboard, and the deleted text will be displayed for you to recover. Keep in mind that the feature for quickly deleting sentences or paragraphs is exclusive to the Google Gboard keyboard.

One-Handed Use Mobile:

As Android Smartphone's display sizes continue to increase, it can be challenging to use them with one hand, especially if you have smaller hands. However, there is a solution to this problem, and that is one-handed mode. To enable it, go to your device's settings, then to system settings, and turn on the navigation gesture.

Once it is done, swipe down from the home screen to activate the one-handed mode. This feature is particularly useful if you're on the go or need to use your phone with one hand while multitasking.

Zoom in Map:

When using Google Maps, it can be frustrating to try and zoom in and out of the map with two fingers. However, with this Android gesture, you can zoom in and out with just one finger. Simply double-tap and hold the screen, then swipe up to zoom out and down to zoom in.

This feature is handy if you need to see the map in more detail or want to zoom out to see more of the surrounding area.

Here with these features, you can delete text quickly, use your phone with one hand, and zoom in and out of maps with ease.
