Team India fielding coach T Dilip praised former captain Virat Kohli for his fitness level. He also termed the star batsman as the best attacking fielder in the team.

As per Dilip, Kohli continues to set the bar high when it comes to fielding and fitness, and the juniors are benefiting from his example.

“Kohli walks the talk when it comes to fitness,” said the fielding coach.

“It mainly comes down to his discipline and how he takes care of himself. It has been 10 years and he is the most attacking fielder. It rubs off well on the youngsters. Everybody looks up to him - not just our team, but everybody in the world - a person like him, running around and attacking the ball so well,” he added.

Notably, Kohli scored 121 on the Day two of the ongoing second Test against West Indies at Queen’s Park Oval playing in his 500th international match. It was his first overseas century since 2018 for India.
