There are so many wicketkeepers in fray for the lone spot in the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup. However, aggressive wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant seems to be well ahead of the race to be selected in the Indian team for the marquee event if he remains fit after the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL)

Pant has already showed some glimpses of his old exploits with the bat and behind the stumps in the ongoing IPL.

Meanwhile, as per former India captain Sourav Ganguly, Delhi Capitals (DC) captain Rishabh Pant is ‘fully fit’. However, the former southpaw said that he would still wait for a few more IPL games to give a better view about the wicketkeeper-batter’s chances for making it to India’s squad for the T20 World Cup squad provided the selectors want to pick him.

“Let a few more matches go. Pant is doing very well. As you all must have seen, you know, wicket keeping, batting. He has held up well,” said Ganguly who is currently working as DC’s director of cricket.

“His form has been fantastic, especially the way he has batted in the last two games. Let another week go, and I’ll be able to answer that question... provided the selectors want to pick him – that’s most important. He’s fit, fully fit,” Ganguly added.
