Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star and India’s run-machine Virat Kohli was a one-man army against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in yesterday’s match in Jaipur. The stylish batsman scored an unbeaten 113 in 72 balls to take RCB to 183/3.

Kohli slammed a record-breaking eighth IPL century on his way to script a first in world cricket. He is also the first player to score 7500+ runs in the IPL. Now, he has 7579 runs in the IPL while he has also scored 424 runs for the franchise in the Champions League T20, so for the team, he has scored a total of 8003 runs.

Going by the numbers, Kohli is the first player in the world to score 8000+ runs for a single team in the T20 format. However, it seems like fans are not very happy with Virat’s century as the team failed to register a win.

RR’s Jos Buttler’s century in 58 balls outshined Virat Kohli’s ton as the Rajasthan Royals (RR) beat RCB by six wickets.

This left RCB fans heartbroken as they had to bear another loss despite Virat Kohli’s century. Angry fans are now trending #Chokli on X and expressing anger at Kohli for his slow batting.

“It is a small boundary, you need more runs than that. We were about 15 shots short and we’ve given over 15 away in extras. That’s not going to work. Kohli had his century, but he was too slow on the mark. I love Kohli, but perhaps if he gave us a duck today rather than a century, we might have made it,” commented a fan.

Another angry fan wrote, “Bhaad mai jaye 200+ ka target, mujhe bas apni century se matlab hai.”

“Even Riyag Parag is playing better than Chokli,” commented another user.
