India’s Mr 360 degree batsman Suryakumar Yadav finally struck form in the third T20I against hosts West Indies. Men in Blue’s T20 vice-captain Surya hit 83 off 49 balls studded with four sixes and 10 fours to help the visitors win the must win game by seven-wicket at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday.

However, West Indies are still leading the five-match series 2-1. The final two matches of the series will be played this week end.

Well, during his knock, Surya struck his 100th six of his T20I career. The World No. 1 T20I batter now has 101 sixes in 49 innings. It is the joint-second fewest innings along with Chris Gayle. Evin Lewis tops the list, with 100 sixes in 48 innings.

Surya also won the 12th Player of the Match award which is the joint second-most with Team India captain Rohit Sharma. It is only behind Virat Kohli’s tally of 15 awards. 

SKY (As Surya is popularly known) has aggregated 1780 runs in T20Is, which is the fourth highest by an Indian in T20Is. In the process, he surpassed Shikhar Dhawan’s tally of 1759. Virat Kohli (4,008), Rohit Sharma (3,853) and KL Rahul (2,265) are the three batters ahead of Surya in the list.
