Veteran cricketer and former India all-rounder Mohammad Kaif is all praise for cricket legend Virat Kohli. He went on to call Kohli a ‘Sher’ and weighed down the recent criticism of his strike rate. Kaif’s praise came hours after Kohli’s blitz helped RCB beat Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

He displayed exceptional batting and scored an impressive unbeaten 70 runs to play a significant role in RCB’s 9-wicket win. In his unbeaten 70 runs, Kohli completed his 24 half-centuries. With this, King Kohli has completed 500 runs for the seventh consecutive time in IPL and is receiving praise for his strike-rate and consistency from all quarters.

“Virat Kohli once again shows T20 cricket isn't just about strike rate. To hit Haris Rauf for 6 at World T20 at a packed MCG and finish the game you need Sher ka Jigar not SR. Kohli is in same mode in this IPL,” Kohli tweeted.

Fans also resonated with Kaif’s opinion and came out in support of India’s run-machine while many others highlighted that strike-rate was very crucial in T20 World Cup.

“Once Virat retires, we will start seeing Indian team collapse in second innings in a tricky chase. We don’t value Virat coz he makes every chase look so easy,” commented a fan.

Another fan wrote, “Kohli is a beast 💪💪 the GOAT!! end of the discussion.”

“T20 is all about "STRIKE RATE" if will jacks didn't strike at rate of 245 and faf 200 do you think RCB could have won this game. Let's see how he performs at wc and mind you he won't strike above 150-160 in wc,” commented another user.
