There have been a lot of talks about whether Hitman Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be included in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. There were reports that the two stalwarts of cricket have expressed their desire to play T20 cricket for India.
However, a poster featuring Hardik Pandya vs Pakistan’s fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has gone viral on social media, further raising the speculations of Pandya replacing Rohit Sharma as the captain of Team India in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
A popular sports News channel shared the poster for the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match. This has not gone down well with cricket lovers and the fans of Rohit Sharma. However, the BCCI has yet to announce the final squad for the T20 match.

With just a few months left for the upcoming World Cup, it will be critical to see what the selection committee has in store for the two cricket legends as they have not played a T20 international match for India since the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final loss.
As per reports, the Men in Blue will begin the World Cup against Ireland in New York on June 5. Later, they will face the arch-rival Pakistan on June 9, also in New York. Then they will play with USA on June 12 and will travel to Florida to play against Canada in their last group-stage match on June 15.
The final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will be played on June 29 in Barbados.
