While speculation is rife among several fans and cricket experts about former India captain and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni’s retirement after Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the ‘Captain Cool’ is happy to make all of them guess about his future.

Recently, Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina had claimed that he would play in the upcoming editions of the cash-rich league depending upon his fitness and performance level in the current edition of the IPL. Meanwhile, former off-spinner Harbhajan Singh had claimed that Dhoni has his own way of announcing retirement and he may stun one and all by making a sudden revelation.

Team India and Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has recently joined the bandwagon to predict Dhoni’s cricketing future.

During MI’s pre-season press conference on their Instagram page on Wednesday, Rohit went on to claim that Dhoni can continue playing for the next two-three seasons in IPL.

“Dhoni is fit enough to play for two-three more years in IPL. I don’t think it’s his last year,” Rohit said during the Instagram LIVE session. Coach Mark Boucher was also present during the session.

Notably, under Rohit’s leadership, MI has won the IPL title for a record five times.
