IPL 2023: MI batsman gets punishment, enters airport wearing batting pads - watch

Emerging Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Nehal Wadhera stunned one and all when he went to the airport wearing batting pads.

The unusual outfit of the young cricketer made Nehal the center of attention. However, it was not something that the left-handed batsman did by his own choice. He had to wear the batting pads over his trousers as a punishment that was given to him by his franchise for getting late to the batters meeting.

MI have shared the video on their social media with the caption, “#MumbaiIndians youngster #NehalWadhera turned all heads at Mumbai airport with his punishment #OOTD. He was captured with his pads on instead of the traditional jumpsuit. According to our sources, #Nehal regrets being late for batters meeting.”

The video has reportedly gone viral. It has so far garnered more than 2,500 likes. Several fans have flooded the comment box with hilarious comments.

Notably, MI have currently 14 points in their kitty after playing 12 matches in IPL 2023. After a sluggish start, they have just picked up at the right moment and are on a roll. MI will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their next match.
