Former Team India batsman and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Gautam Gambhir is known for his ‘ever so serious’ character. He rarely smiles and laughs. However, there was a different sight all together at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee stadium in Lucknow on Monday.

Gambhir’s reputation took a backseat when Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma met the LSG mentor ahead of their match.

During the practice session on the eve of the match, the bromance between Rohit and Gambhir was a treat to watch for the fans. Both the cricketers were an integral part of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning Indian side.

Rohit went to Gambhir and shook hands with him. They were also found hugging each other and cracking few jokes. Rohit was also seen admiring Gambhir.

LSG have shared the video of the incident on their social media handles. The video has reportedly gone viral. It has so far garnered around 9,000 likes on twitter. Several fans have flooded the comment box with amusing comments.

Responding to the video, a fan wrote, “Ro always brings a smile on GG’s face whenever they meet, it tells about their bond.”

“And Virat always brings anger on GG’s face,” twetted another fan.

Hailing the gesture by both the cricketers, a third user commented, “Just revisiting 2007 T20 Finals.”

Notably, Gambhir had an ugly altercation with RCB star batsman Virat Kohli before some days in IPL.
