Australia all-rounder and Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) star player Glenn Maxwell has returned to form at the right moment in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL).
During the match against Rajasthan Royals at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Sunday, Maxwell scored a whirlwind half-century.
The aggressive batter scored 77 runs from just 44 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes.
Riding on his blitzkrieg, RCB scored a competitive 189 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis also scored an attacking half century of 62 runs in just 39 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes.
RCB got a bad start as their star batter Virat Kohli was dismissed on the very first ball of the match. However, they quickly regained their footing thanks to the impressive performances of Maxwell and Du Plessis. RCB just turned the match into a run feast.

One particular video from Maxwell’s knock has been making waves on social media. In the video clip, Maxi is seen hitting an audacious reverse sweep for a maximum. It was really an iconic moment that had everyone on their feet.
Yuzvendra Chahal came to bowl the sixth over for RR. In the first three balls, he just gave just four runs. In the next ball, the tweaker bowled a good-length ball and Maxwell leaned on his knees to hit an incredible reverse sweep that sailed the ball to deep backward point.
