Former India fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad never minces his words while criticizing Team India batter and Indian Premier League (IPL) franschise Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul. Prasad is known for his strong criticism towards Rahul.

LSG collapsed to one of the most stunning defeats of the ongoing IPL against Gujarat Titans on Saturday. They failed to chase down a low target of 136 despite needing only 30 runs to win off the last six overs with eight wickets in hand. Rahul got out after scoring 68 off 61 balls. His low strike rate has come under further scrutiny following LSG’s stunning defeat.

“Bottling a run chase when 30 needed of 35 balls with nine wickets in hand requires some baffling batting. Happened with Punjab in 2020 on few occasions losing games they should have won easily. As brilliant as Guj were with ball & Hardik smart with his captaincy, brainless from Lko,” tweeted Prasad by launching his fresh attack on Rahul.

Notably, Prasad had criticised Rahul continuously for his poor show against Australia.

Former India cricketers Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh also reacted sharply to the stunning loss. Sehwag expressed his surprise at the stunning turnaround of the match. However, Bhajji pulled the leg of his former India teammate Ashish Nehra who is the head coach of the Gujarat Titans.

“What a game. Good to see Mohit doing so well. Khush tho bhut honge aaj NEHRA Ji. Muskuriye kyuki aap Lakhnow mai hai,” tweeted Harbhajan.
