Despite retiring from international cricket, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has refused to slow down. He is still very sharp behind the stumps. It was evident from CSK’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an IPL encounter at Chepauk on Friday.

During the course of the match, Dhoni achieved a huge milestone in IPL history as a wicketkeeper. At the age of 41, the veteran cricketer became the first wicketkeeper in the history of the cash-rich league to have 200 dismissals (catches + stumpings+ run outs).

At first, the Captain Cool took a brilliant reflex catch behind the stumps to dismiss SRH skipper Aiden Markram. Then he executed a lightning stumping off a Ravindra Jadeja delivery to get rid of Mayank Agarwal. He also executed a brilliant run out with a direct hit to send Washington Sundar to the pavilion in the final ball of the 20th over.

Notably, CSK won the match convincingly by seven wickets. Put into bat first, SRH scored 134 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, CSK knocked off the target in 18.4 overs for the loss of only three wickets. With this victory, CSK have been elevated to the third position in the points table with eight points in their kitty. They have played a total of six matches so far and won four of those games.
