Emotions run high during an international cricket match in India when passionate fans arrive at the stadium in large numbers to witness the live action. Fans often indulge in unacceptable behavior like pitch invasions to put the security officials in trouble. The fans who breach the security cover simply want to get a closer look at their favorite cricketers.

The morning session of the ongoing second Test match between India and Australia was briefly interrupted at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi when a fan sprinted towards the pitch to get a closer look at his favourite Indian cricketers. He ran towards the area where several Indian players including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were standing. However, the security personnel managed to apprehend the trespasser.

The fan tried his best to free himself. However, his efforts were futile. As the security personnel dragged the fan out of the playing area, Indian pacer Mohammed Shami won hearts when he asked the security officials to be kind to the fan. He implored them to be gentle with the boy. Eventually, the match resumed once the intruder was escorted out of the stadium.

Shami also bowled his heart out as he took four wickets in the match. Usman Khawaja (81, 125b, 12x4, 1x6) was the top-scorer for Australia with a brilliant half century. He was cruising for a century before a stunning one-handed catch by KL Rahul off the bowling of Ravindra Jadeja sent him back to the pavilion.

Australia were eventually bowled out for 263 runs with Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja taking two wickets each.

In reply, India were 21 for no wicket at stumps of day one. Captain Rohit Sharma (13 no, 34b, 1x4) and KL Rahul (4 no, 20b) were occupying the crease.
