Harry Brook and his girlfriend who was spotted cheering for him
Sunrisers Hyderabad star batsman Harry Brook was a vision to watch as he slammed a tremendous century against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata last night. The England batsman slammed the first century of IPL 2023 with just 55 balls.
However, his statement against Indian fans after his stupendous performance has started a debate on Twitter. Post the match, Harry Brook said, “There are a lot of Indian fans out there who’ll say well done tonight. But, they were slagging me off a few days ago. Glad I could shut them up.”
This statement of Harry has not gone down well with a section of his fans who called him arrogant. He was picked up by SRH for a massive Rs 13.25 crore but did not have a good start. Therefore, fans expected him to perform well.

Now, his statement targeting Indian fans has started a war among his fans and sports lovers on Twitter.
“Big zero on humility. This guy won’t be a legend for sure!” commented a user.
“Nobody is immune to criticism lol. You were bought for a heavy amount, you gotta perform. Now, better score runs in upcoming matches too after giving such statements,” wrote another user.
A third user wrote, “I was very happy for his century, but his opinion has left me in shock. After this my respect for Arshdeep increased who said fans have right to troll us. Arshdeep faced a lot of criticism compared to Brook.”
However, a few fans came out in his support and wrote, “Very true very very true, all these lockdown kids with twitter profile and without any dp are so toxic. It’s not bringing bad name to their upbringing for the country too.”
Another user wrote, “That’s what happens when you are confident about your skills. You don’t have to dance on the reels of their songs to impress.”
“He’ll mature with time! He just spoke his heart out, not many can deal with negativity in a positive way,” commented another user.
