‘15 Rupees me to ek samosa aayega’: Pakistan Cricket Board trolled for their match ticket prices

Be it losing to Minnow Teams at World Cups, dropping simple catches on the field, or for their ‘English’ speaking skills during press conferences, Pakistan cricket team knows how to get trolled on social media. But this time, they have crossed all limits of getting trolled by lowering ticket prices ahead of the home series against Bangladesh.

Social Media was flooded with memes trolling the ticket price tag for the upcoming series between Pakistan and Bangladesh starting August 21.

One user’s comment has garnered significant attention on social media where he humorously pointed out that Rs. 15 in India would barely buy a samosa.

“15rs me to ek samosa aayega 😁😀 inke so called brand ab 25 dollar ki selfie se 15 rs ke samose ki aukaat 😁😁 pe aa gaye,” the user wrote.

According to the official release from the PCB, ticket prices for the 2 match test series range from PKR 50 to a substantial PKR 250,000 for a full hospitality box.

"The tickets for both Test matches have been kept at an affordable rate. The minimum rate starts at PKR 50 (General enclosure/ Wasim Bari enclosure in Karachi) and goes up to PKR 250,000 (full hospitality box) at the NBS in Karachi," read PCB's statement.

Such announcement was made by PCB reportedly due to low attendance during PSL Eliminator and Final matches in March 2024.
