Team India is currently in a visit to South Africa. The Men in Blue are scheduled to play three T20Is, as many ODIs and two Tests in South Africa.
Wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul and premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah have been rested for the ongoing T20I series. While Rahul will lead the team during the ODIs, Bumrah will join the team for the two Test match series starting on December 26.
Both the senior players were seen sweating it nets before leaving for South Africa later this month. Rahul has recently uploaded a video of his training routine with Bumrah making a special appearance on Instagram.
Despite the high-intensity training, Rahul could be found indulging in a healthy banter with his teammate in the video.
The wicketkeeper-batsman predicted how the speedster would talk about batsmen having it easy during training in hot and humid conditions.
“I can guarantee you Bumrah is going to tell how hard a fast bowler’s life is,” said Rahul in the video.
Moments later, Rahul’s prediction was proved to be correct.
“Your job is easier to bat, hide behind a bat,” Bumrah is seen saying it Rahul.
“What did I tell you? Did I not call it?” said Rahul in response to Bumrah’s statement.
The video clip has gone viral on Instagram with around six lakh likes.
Several fans have showered interesting comments in response to the video.
“KL Rahul is Ready for Next Challenge,” wrote a fan.
“This video made my day. It was so fun to watch him enjoy himself again. He was hilarious with Bumrah and showed us some great batting display as well. He also teased the others in a friendly way. This video is full of joy and fire,” wrote another fan.
