Skipper Rohit Sharma recently broke his silence on the heartbreaking loss in a candid talk. Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Mumbai Indians shared the video on their official X account (earlier known as Twitter).

In the video, Rohit is seen reflecting on the challenging defeat, the team’s outstanding performance and the overwhelming support from fans.

“It wasn’t easy to digest, but life moves on. You have to move on in life. But, honestly, it was tough. It was not so easy to just move on,” said Rohit.

“I am pretty sure how we played up until that final would have given people a lot of joy, a lot of pride watching the team play,” he added.

Despite the heartbreak, Rohit Sharma appreciated the fans for their unwavering support throughout the World Cup campaign.
