Cuttack: A person sustained bullet injury in a firing that took place at Das Sahi area in Jobra here on Sunday midnight, police said on Monday. The victim has been identified as Smruti Ranjan Behera.
 
According to reports, Behera was attacked by an unknown miscreant near his house on Sunday midnight. The assailant then fled from the scene after firing gun shots at Behera that hit him in his knee.
 
Behera was immediately rushed to a private hospital for medical assistance, and he was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.
 
While the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, no complaints have been lodged till now, Malgodown police informed.
