A hotel in Singapore is reportedly offering its guests reimbursement if their plan is affected due to rain. Notably, it rains almost half a year in Singapore. However, the hotel InterContinental Singapore located in the Lion City is taking the challenge to ensure their guests’ holiday is not spoiled due to the rain.

Well, the reimbursement is for a one-night stay if the plans of the guests in the hotel get affected due to rain, CNN reported. The reimbursement process has been termed as ‘Rain Resist Bliss’ insurance package.

However, there is a catch. The package is only available for the guests who are staying in suites. The hotel on its website mentions the ‘Rain Protection Insurance Package’ is available exclusively for Junior Suites, One-Bedroom Suites, Royal Suites, Ambassador Suites, and Presidential Suites.

The prices for a night for a junior suite begin at Rs 52,000 and can go upwards to Rs 2.2 lakh for the presidential suite.

Another condition is that the rain must exceed 120 cumulative minutes within any four-hour block during daylight hours between 8 am to 7 pm.

“For example, if it rains continuously between 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm (90 mins) and again between 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm (30 mins), a voucher will be triggered,” CNN quoted the hotel. The guests can receive a rebate voucher valued at a one-night room rate when the rain disrupts their plans.

Interestingly, the hotel issues the voucher within seven working days. Furthermore, the guests can use the voucher within six months from the issue date.
