In this mall, any poor person can just walk in, choose the warm clothes of his/her choice and take it away with no strings attached. Yes, you read it right!

Though it might sound unbelievable, it is true. These clothes are donated by well-wishers. The mall is ‘Anokha Mall’ in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The noble deed was started so that no poor feels like a ‘poor receiver’ or given anything just for social media reels and photos. So, genuine donors can keep warm clothes, accessories and other things, they want to donate in the mall.

Those in need can walk in and take whatever they feel is needed. This noble deed continues during the winter from December to February. This cycle has been going on for the last five years.

Apart from warm clothes, people also donate used clothes, quilts, blankets, school uniforms, suitcases, sandals, shoes and other daily use things. Most of the donors are good and kind-hearted people.

The mall employees make sure the donated items are clean and fit to be used by the poor.

A donor took to his Facebook and shared, “Finally gave clothes to Anokha Mall. This is certainly a unique mall, as the needy will not have to extend a seeking hand. They can take the clothes or shoes of their choice as per their needs, without being subject of any camera and without giving any money.”

Recently, there was a lot of debate on social media about people donating to the poor only to grab videos and pictures for their social media posts and show-off.
