“I am really excited to meet President Murmu as she is the first citizen of India. We have a group named ‘Atut Bandhan’ and the financially weaker students used to get help from the members of the group. The head of the group has planned our meeting with the President this evening,” said Sambit.

“My father is a small businessman. During Covid time, his business was hit hard and we faced a severe financial crisis. At that time, I was introduced to the head of ‘Atut Bandhan’ group- Pritish Kumar Basu. From that day, he has been extending me financial help on a monthly basis. I express my deepest gratitude to him,” he added.

Sayoni is also ecstatic to meet President Murmu.

“I have come from a small town like Balugaon. From my childhood, I have seen people in my area suffering like anything due to the absence of proper medical facilities. Hence I always cherish a dream to be a doctor in my life. However, I have been facing severe financial constraints while pursuing medical education,” said Sayoni.

“It’s like a dream for me to get the opportunity to meet the President. It’s pretty difficult to meet the first citizen of India and I extend my gratitude to ‘Atut Bandhan’ group to give me the opportunity. I will discuss the financial huddles that I faced while pursuing my education. I will also request the President to help meritorious students who are facing similar kind of crisis,” she added.
