The handwriting of lady blackmailer Archana Nag will be matched with her diary by police to have strong evidence against the accused in Court. Nag is the alleged mastermind of the high-profile blackmailing racket. 

A team from Khandagiri police station including the IIC is investigating the case. The team went to Jharpada jail to collect Archana’s handwriting which will be matched with the diary seized from her possession earlier.

“As per the permission from the court, we have collected the sample of Archana’s handwriting and specimen signature. We have earlier seized some dairies from her possession. Her handwriting and specimen signature will be sent to the Handwriting Bureau for comparison,” said Khandagiri IIC Dayanidhi Nayak. 

Meanwhile, Nayapalli Police have filed a 501-page charge sheet against Nag before the court.  The case pertaining to the blackmailing complaint made in the Nayapalli police station by film producer Akshay Parija. The charge sheet has been submitted against Nag along with supplementary charge sheets and some other documents.

The Court has allowed ED to take Archana’s husband Jagabandhu Chand on further four days remand. Earlier in the first phase, ED had questioned Jagabandhu by taking him into nine-day remand. In the second phase, ED will quiz him about the electronic device.

It is pertinent to mention that Nag was earlier arrested on October 7 on charges of honey-trapping bigwigs and extorting money from them. The Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court in Bhubaneswar rejected her bail plea on October 17. 

Later, on October 21, Nag’s husband Jagabandhu Chand was also arrested from his Satya Vihar residence in Bhubaneswar.
