As per reports, the 27-year-old scientist had come to his native village last Saturday on a 15-day leave. He went to the village pond to take a bath on Monday noon. However, he slipped while bathing and went deep into the water as he didn’t know how to swim.

Some of the villagers rushed to his rescue and took him to the nearby hospital immediately. However, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Police have registered a case in this connection and sent the body for post-mortem.

A pall of gloom descended in the area following the death of the young scientist.
