In a scene straight out from a Bollywood movie, a man presumed dead for over two years returned to his home in Odisha and remarried with his wife.

The man, Ghasi Amanatya from Podapadar village under Borigumma block in Koraput, who had gone missing, reunited with his family recently and tied the knot with the love of his life.

As per reports, Ghasi had gone to Andhra Pradesh as a migrant worker two years back. However, he lost his way and reached Bengaluru in the process. When he didn’t return home after two years, the family members thought him to be dead and performed his last rites. They also forced his wife Subarna Amanatya to live as a widow.

However in a strange turn of events, Ghasi returned home recently after two years. The elated family members and the villagers gave Ghasi a rousing welcome upon his arrival at the village.

Thousands of people thronged the village to see Ghasi. As per the suggestion of the villagers, Ghasi remarried his wife as per the traditional rituals of their society.
