  • Age gaps in marriage or relationships can make a big difference.
  • Marriages with age gaps of more than 10 or 20 years have fewer chances of becoming successful.

The age gap is one of the most discussed subjects when it comes to love and marriage. Traditionally, it is believed that there should be a gap of 3 to 4 years between a man and a woman and the man should be older than the woman.

However, there have been marriages with age gaps of more than 5 to 10 years of gap and still have been successful. Importantly, this age gap is considered ideal because it offers stability and happiness to the couple. Of course, there are exceptions, but in general, it is considered the best age gap to have between couples.

Age Gap of 10 Years or More

Usually, this age gap is a bit stretchy. A gap of a decade means that the older person belongs to an entirely different generation. Hence, his ideologies and perspective can differ from that of the younger partner. Even then there have been instances when such marriages or relationships have been extremely successful, mostly because the partners' ambitions and desires are aligned.

Importantly, if the love for each other is very strong and there is a proper understanding then a 10-year gap in marriage might not pose much of a problem.

How Does Age Gap Influence Relationship?
