Leopard carcass found near Mussoorie

An eight-year-old leopard was found dead in a stream on Kimari-Bhirtali road by passers-by yesterday, who then informed forest officials of the area about it, they said.

A preliminary examination has suggested that the wild cat might have died of natural reasons, as its body parts were intact and there were no signs of snare or wound, they said.

A postmortem is being conducted to ascertain the exact cause of the death, the officials added.
