The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has announced the result for recruitment of Block Social Security Officer (BSSO) under the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
As many as 321 candidates have cleared the main written examination and computer skill test and shortlisted for verification of documents.
The Main Written Examination for the recruitment drive was held from August 25, 2021 and Computer Skill Test was conducted on November 2, 2021.
The roll numbers of the candidates provisionally shortlisted for appearing the certificate verification have been uploaded on the official website of the commission- ossc.gov.in.
"The date of Certificate Verification will be intimated shortly in the website of the Commission. The shortlisted candidates are advised to keep constant touch with the Commission's website www.ossc.gov.in to know further updates," the Commission stated in a notice.
Notably, the OSSC in 2017 had issued the advertisement for recruitment of 151 posts of Social Security Officer (BSSO) on contractual basis under the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department.
Online applications from eligible candidates were invited from November 9, 2017 to December 8, 2017.
The appointment will be initially on contractual basis carrying a consolidated pay comprising of initial pay+ grade pay in the scale of pay of Rs 9300- to Rs 34,800 and G.P. of Rs 4200 (Pre-revised) subject to revision by the Government from time to time.
Conditions of Service: Appointment to the post shall be guided by Odisha Group-B posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and the Odisha Social Security Services (Methods of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2016.
